Rush orders
Custom orders are available by pre-order only and must be ordered and paid for at least 2 weeks in advance unless otherwise stated. Please note, schedule fills quickly (particularly on weekends) and even with a 2 week notice I may not be able to accommodate all orders. I recommend ordering with as much advanced notice as possible, ideally 6-8 weeks before your event.
Occasionally, I am able to accommodate last-minute orders, but flavor and size options will be limited and rush order fees will apply. Please call or text me at 804-404-5277 to inquire if you need an order within 2 weeks or less. A rush order fee of $30 will apply to orders placed 8-14 days before your event. A rush order fee of $80 will apply to orders placed 0-7 days before your event. Rush orders must be paid in full at booking.
Pick Up & Deliveries
As of October 15, 2022 delivery is available for wedding cakes only upon request and acceptance will be based upon event, venue, and location. The delivery fee starts at $60. Deliveries outside of a 10 mile radius from zip code 23224 will be charged an additional $1.75/mile round trip.
Pick up is always free. Pick up times are usually Fridays after 6pm and, Saturdays & Sunday 8a-1:30p unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for any damages that occur after pickup. Please arrive on time for pickups; we schedule them to provide as much social distancing as possible. If you arrive early, we are not guaranteed to be here; we may be delivering. A late fee will be applied at the 15 minute mark and be charged to the card on file unless other arrangements have been made.
Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and reserve your order, time/date slot, and price.
Shortly after your consultation, we will send you a quote that will need to be accepted or declined within 3 days to lock in your price. Once accepted, it will be converted into an invoice.
Once you receive your invoice, you must pay your deposit by 5pm on the due date listed on the invoice or your order will be cancelled and your quoted price will no longer be guaranteed. The remaining balance must be paid 72 hours before your event.
Wedding cakes and large orders must be paid in full at least 30 days before the event.
Cancellation
Cancellations of any sort by the customer will result in a forfeiture of any payment made. Cancellations made by The Cake Lady will result in a deposit refund.
