The Cake Lady is a Black-owned, home-based bakery located conveniently near major interstates in Richmond, Virginia. I'd love to schedule time with you to discuss the details of your next order. Click here to access our order form
AVAILABILITY
Custom cakes, cupcakes, and cookies are available by pre-order only and must be ordered and paid for at least 2 weeks in advance unless otherwise stated. Please note, schedule fills quickly (particularly on weekends) and even with a 2 week notice I may not be able to accommodate all orders. I recommend ordering with as much advanced notice as possible, ideally 6-8 weeks ahead of time.
Occasionally, I am able to accommodate last-minute orders, but flavor and size options will be limited and rush order fees will apply. Please call or text me at 804-404-5277 to inquire if you need an order within 2 weeks or less. Rush order fees and policies are located here
PAYMENT & MINIMUM ORDER
Please note that custom cake quotes start at $120.
For all event cupcakes and cookies the minimum order amount is one dozen unless otherwise stated. If you'd like a non-custom order amount less than one dozen, please order via the website.
Prices are subject to change to account for inflation/production costs.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and reserve your order, time/date slot, and price.
Shortly after your consultation, we will send you a quote that will need to be accepted or declined within 3 days to lock in your price. Once accepted, it will be converted into an invoice. Any changes to the paid agreed upon invoice will result in additional added costs.
Once you receive your invoice, you must pay your deposit by 5pm on the due date listed on the invoice or your order will be cancelled and your quoted price will no longer be guaranteed. The remaining balance must be paid 72 hours before your event.
Wedding cakes and large orders must be paid in full at least 30 days before the event.
You can pay directly through your invoice. Other options include Zelle and Venmo. For larger orders, installments via ShopPay and Klarna available.
PICK UP & DELIVERY
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that I can evaluate the issue and rectify it.
Delivery is only available for wedding cakes and base fee is $60+ depending on mileage, time of day, flights or stairs, etc. This will be added to your total.
Normal Pick Up Times
Fridays after 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 8am-1:30pm
Pick up location is in Richmond, VA near River City Middle School.
I am not responsible for any damages that occur after pickup.
